BeTRITON is making a revolution in outdoor travel by launching a production model unique and innovative recreational vehicle — Amphibious Camper-Trike. It combines a boat, a tricycle, and a tiny camper all in one and offers the freedom to travel both over land and water. The company will start delivering the product to the first pre-orders towards the end of this year. The product is ready for outdoor enthusiasts who want to do long-distance adventures or short weekend getaways to explore the beauty of our blue and green planet sustainably and extraordinarily. BeTRITON is on a mission to shift the way people travel and engage with nature, especially in the current times with the worldwide pandemic and continuous desire to escape in a self-contained and autonomous way. After completing the first prototype in 2020, the product received a massive public interest, the first pre-orders came in, and the first world-renowned impact investors joined in to help complete the company's mission to revolutionise the way people travel and explore the outdoors. Although fully functional, the first prototype demonstrated that improvements needed to be made before the product could hit mass production. Step by step, a team of changemakers and top engineers was formed, and within 14 months of hard R&D work, the new iteration was created. BeTRITON has all the features and functions that make it a market-ready product now. Most of the parts were redesigned and re-engineered, making BeTRITON a major improvement compared to its predecessor. The product is slightly wider now and provides more room in the cabin allowing two people to sleep in it comfortably. The bike part underwent a major redesign and now offers a lot more comfortable ride with rear suspension, adjustable seat, hydraulic disc brakes, 7 gears internal gear hub and has twice the power — 1000W. The boat mode is also upgraded with a stronger 1150W motor which is integrated into the body and can be lifted up/down from the cabin. The list of upgrades goes on and on. The product is 100% electric with both boat and trike electric motors, a Li-ion battery pack and integrated roof solar panels. The body is manufactured in organic fibreglass with polyester made from recycled PET bottles and a number of parts are large-format 3D printed with bioplastics. There is also a plant pot that enables users to carry small trees that can be planted along the way to reforest our dear planet. Therefore, BeTRITON has a positive CO2 footprint and aims to be the most sustainable RV on the market. Apart from the ready-made version, the company is also developing a DIY kit version which will be a simplified, modular, more affordable, easy-to-ship version of the same concept. The product development is supported by a Norway Grants and is aimed at social impact, and sustainability and taps into the movement of makers. The vision of the company is to create a global community around BeTRITON, gathering people who strive to travel in alternative ways and deeply care about our planet.
